Club History
Founded on 1st August 1920, East Bengal Club has been one of the giants of Indian football with a storied legacy. Nicknamed the Red & Gold Brigade, the Club boasts millions of fans scattered across the globe, who embody its never-say-die spirit. Besides winning almost all the domestic competitions multiple times, East Bengal has also flourished at the Asian level with 3 international titles (Wai Wai Cup, ASEAN Cup, and San Miguel International Cup), and the most appearances by an Indian Club in the AFC Cup.
In 2022, Kolkata-based diversified business conglomerate Emami Group came aboard as the club’s investor, with the mission of helping the club regain its golden days.
