আমাদের প্রিয় ইস্টবেঙ্গল ফুটবল পরিবার,

২ রা আগস্ট, ২০২২ – ইস্ট বেঙ্গল নামের এই ঐতিহ্যময় ক্লাব এর ১০২ বছর এবং ১ দিনের পূর্নলগ্নে, আমরা ঘোষণা করি যে সেই দিন  থেকে এই ক্লাবের ফুটবল ভবিষ্যতের সব দ্বায়িত্ব আমরা কাঁধে তুলে নিচ্ছি এক বিনিয়োগকারীর ভূমিকা থেকে।

গত এক মাস ধরে এই ঘোষণার পর থেকেই , টিম গঠন , টেকনিকাল স্টাফ থেকে শুরু করে আমরা অনেক গুরুত্বপূর্ণ সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছি । দলটাকে   গুছিয়ে তোলার চেষ্টা করে চলেছি ডুরান্ড কাপ ও হিরো ISL কে মাথায় রেখে। গত কয়েকদিনের মধ্যে অনেক কিছু  করা হয়েছে যা প্রশংসার দাবি রাখে। দলের সদ্যসরা সংঘবদ্ধ হয়ে দুর্দান্ত কাজ করে চলেছেন। প্রত্যেক দিন আমরা একটু একটু করে উন্নতি করে চলেছি আর চেষ্টা করছি আরও উন্নতি করার আগামী দিনে।  কিন্তু একটা দিক যেটাতে আমরা একটু পিছিয়ে পড়েছিলাম  সেটা হচ্ছে সোশ্যাল মিডিয়ায় আমাদের সক্রিয় উপস্থিতি।   সেটাও আজ থেকে বদলাবে আর আমরা  এই নীরবতা কে ভাঙার শ্রেষ্ট উপায় হিসেবে বেছে নিলাম এই খোলা চিঠিকে – আপনাদের উদ্দেশ্যে – যারা এই দলের  সমর্থক, আমাদের ফ্যানস।

প্রথমত ইমামি ইস্ট বেঙ্গল FC Pvt. Ltd তৈরী হয়েছে বলেই আমরা মনে করি না যে আমরা ইস্ট বেঙ্গল দলের মালিক। আমরা বিশ্বাস করি  এই ঐতিহাসিক ব্র্যান্ড এর একজনই মালিক – তা হলো , আপনারা – ব্র্যান্ড ইস্টবেঙ্গলের সদস্য , সমর্থক এবং ফ্যান – রা ।  এটা  আপনাদের দল , এ এক ভালোবাসার অধিকার যা   প্রজন্মের পর প্রজন্ম উত্তরাধিকার সূত্রে চলে এসেছে। আমরা নিজেদের ভূমিকা অনেকটা অভিভাবক বা অছি হিসেবে দেখি যাদের দায়িত্ব এই শতাব্দীপ্রাচীন আইকনিক ব্র্যান্ড এর সোনালী ইতিহাসকে রক্ষা করা।  আমরা চাই আমাদের পুঁজিকে কাজে লাগিয়ে নতুন করে ইমামি ইস্ট বেঙ্গল দলকে দীর্ঘস্থায়ী  উন্নতির শিখরে নিয়ে যাবো এক বর্ণময় ভবিষ্যতের উদ্দেশ্যে।

এই কথাকে মাথায় রেখে, আমরা আপনাদের সামনে এই দলকে নিয়ে আমাদের ভিশন আর স্বপ্নকে তুলে ধরতে চাই :

দীর্ঘস্থায়ী উন্নতি :
আমাদের দুটি মূল উদ্দেশ্য – স্থায়িত্ব ও গঠন।  আমরা সেই ভাবনা থেকেই দল এবং অন্যান্য কর্মীদল গড়ে তুলছি  যাতে আমরা এই দুই উদ্দেশ্য সঠিক ভাবে পালন করতে পারি। আমরা জানি রাতারাতি সফল হওয়া যায় না ; তাই আমাদের প্রধান লক্ষ্য আগে ভীতটাকে মজবুত করে গড়ে তোলা ।

ফুটবলের উন্নতি :
দীর্ঘ ১০০ বছর ধরে ইস্ট বেঙ্গল ক্লাব ভারতের ফুটবল অতিহ্যর এক অন্যতম ধারক ও বাহক। ভারতবর্ষের বেশ কিছু স্বনামধন্য ফুটবলার এই লাল হলুদ জার্সি পরে মাঠ দাপিয়ে খেলেছেন ও বহু সময় দেশের হয়েও খ্যাতি অর্জন করেছেন। খেলার এই দিকটা আমাদের কাছে খুব গুরুত্বপূর্ণ। আমরা চাই যে আমাদের পরিকল্পনা শুধু ইস্ট বেঙ্গল টিম ই নয়, পুরো ভারতবর্ষের ফুটবল দুনিয়া ও জাতীয় দলের  উন্নতির কাজেও  লাগুক।

সমর্থক কেন্দ্রিক :
আমরা আগেও বলেছি, সমর্থকরাই এই দলের আসল মালিক। আমাদের মার্কেটিং আর কমিউনিকেশন প্ল্যান ও এই কথাটিকে মাথায় রেখেই তৈরী করা হবে ।আমরা আমাদের গণমাধ্যমের ভাষাকে সেই ভাবেই সাজিয়ে তুলবো যা আপনাদের হৃদয় কে ছুঁতে পারে , যাতে আপনাদের  মনে হয়  ইমামি ইস্ট বেঙ্গল আপনাদের মনের খুব কাছাকাছি । তাই আমাদের যোগাযোগের ভিত্তি হবে দুটি – স্বচ্ছতা ও বিশ্বাস।

এতো কথার পরেও আমরা খুব ভালো মতো জানি, আমরা বুঝি,  সামনের  পথ অনেক লম্বা। রাতারাতি কোনো ফল আমরা আশা করিনা।  আমরা জানি ফুটবল এক অনিশ্চিত খেলা – যেকোনো মুহূর্তে যেকোনো দিকে খেলা ঘুরে যেতে পারে – আর এতেই বোধহয় ফুটবলের জাদু লুকিয়ে রয়েছে। সেই জন্য – আপনাদের কাছে, আমাদের পরিবারের কাছে এক বিনম্র অনুরোধ – ম্যাচের ফলাফল যাই হোক না কেন, আপনাদের সমর্থন যেন সব সময় দলের সঙ্গে থাকে, খেলোয়াড়দের সঙ্গে থাকে, যেমন চিরকাল থেকেছে। দল যখনি মাঠে নামবে তখনি  আপনাদের জয়োল্লাস   যেন  তাদেরকে অভ্যর্থনা জানায়।  আর তারা যদি কখনো কোথাও হোঁচট খায় , আপনাদের উচ্ছাস যেন তিরস্কারে বদলে না যায় । ভালো মন্দে সবেতেই আপনাদের পাশে পাবো, তাই আশা রাখি। এই পথ দীর্ঘ আর ঠিক আফ্রিকার এক প্রচলিত প্রবাদ যেমন বলে , “যদি তাড়াতাড়ি  যেতে চাও, তাহলে একাই চল।  কিন্তু যদি অনেক দূর যেতে চাও, তাহলে একসঙ্গে চল”, আমরাও তাই বিশ্বাস করি। আমরা শুধু আমাদের ইমামি ইস্ট বেঙ্গল ফুটবল টিমের জন্যই  এক সুন্দর ভবিষ্যৎ গড়ার স্বপ্ন দেখি  না  – আমরা চাই ফুটবল খেলার পুরো দুনিয়ারই  উন্নতি হোক আর তার জন্য আপনাদেরকে আমাদের পাশে নিয়ে চলতে চাই।

Our Dearest East Bengal Family,

On the 2nd of August 2022, 102 years and 1 day after this illustrious Club was formed, we announced that we would be the custodians and investors of this iconic Football Team.

Over the past month since the announcement was made, there have been major activities taking place behind the scenes with assembling of the team, the technical staff and getting everything in place for the on-going Durand Cup and the upcoming Hero ISL. A lot has been done in the past few days, which is commendable. The team members have got together to do a wonderful job in such a short time. There is progress every single day and we strive to get better than what we are today. However, one aspect that has not been as frequent as we would have liked it to be is our social media. This, from today, will change and we thought that the best way to break the silence was to write to you – our fans.

First and foremost, with the formation of Emami East Bengal FC Pvt Ltd., we do not see ourselves as owners. We do also believe that you, the members, supporters and fans of brand East Bengal are the real owners. This is your football team, the football team of your parents, grandparents and great grandparents. This team will always belong to you. We at Emami. see ourselves as custodians of this iconic and century old brand and its football team to uphold its golden legacy and use our resources to champion the sustainable growth to take the team to newer heights together as Emami East Bengal. With this in mind, we wanted to take this opportunity to share with you our vision and aspirations for the team.

1. Sustainable growth: Our two key objectives are stability and structure. The composition of our team and staff is to ensure that these two goals are met. We know success is not accomplished overnight and our key focus now is to ensure that the foundations being built are strong.

2. Development of the sport: Over the last century the Club has been a torch bearer of Indian football. Some of the country’s greatest players have donned the Red and Gold. They have not only brought honour to us, but to the nation too. This is something we take very seriously. As a part of our development plan, we want to ensure that whatever we do, adds back to the wholistic development of India’s footballing landscape and the national team becomes stronger as a result of our activities.

3. Fan centricity: As we have already stated, to us, you the fans are the real owners of this team. Our marketing and communication plans will have this at the centre of what we do. We wish to use the mediums at our disposal to ensure that you feel closer and a lot more connected to Emami East Bengal. We will be constructing our communication approach on two core values – transparency and trust.

Having said this, we are fully aware that this is a long journey and cannot be achieved overnight. We understand that football is unpredictable and therein lies the magic of the game. Hence, we have one request to you, our dear family – that irrespective of the match results, you please continue to support the team and the players as you always have. That when our boys take to the field, they are greeted with deafening cheers and if they falter at any point, those cheers do not turn to jeers. Your support in good and bad, is what your team needs the most. This road is a long one, and as the famous African proverb says “If you want to go fast, go alone. But if you want to go far, go together” We want to build a prosperous future not only for our Emami East Bengal Football Team but also for the footballing eco-system and the only way we can do that, is with you by our side.
