East Bengal FC eye 3 points against Chennaiyin FC at home
East Bengal FC will take on Chennaiyin FC in their fifth Hero ISL 2022/23 fixture at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan on November 4, Friday. The match is scheduled to start from 7:30 PM (IST)
Despite losing the Kolkata derby 0-2, the Red & Gold Brigade were praised for their resolute showing in the first-half. They came close to finding the net on a few occasions, but were denied by the opposition custodian Vishal Kaith.
With 16 matches still left to go, Stephen Constantine and Co. are confident of climbing the ladder soon. The previous four meetings between the Red & Gold Brigade and the Marina Machans ended in draws.
In the Press Conference ahead of the gam, Australian midfielder Jordan O’Doherty said, “Every game has been a learning curve so far and everyone is learning together.”
“We have been working as a team on maintaining our shape and being more consistent whilst defending and also attacking. Everyone is together learning what we need to do. Hence, we have been improving game by game,” the 25-year-old added.
“Rome wasn’t built in a day and a top team isn’t built in a day. We are improving every week. We now need to carry our first-half performance into the second-half. Hopefully, we can do that tomorrow night against Chennaiyin FC,” Constantine told the media on the eve of the game.
