EAST BENGAL FC DEFEAT WB POLICE SC 3-0 TO STORM INTO THE INAUGURAL IFA WOMEN’S SHIELD FINAL

The East Bengal FC women’s team qualified for the final of the inaugural IFA Women’s Shield by virtue of defeating West Bengal Police SC 3-0 at the Tehatta Ground on May 31, Wednesday.

After the first half ended goalless, Tulsi Hembram (50’, 90+4’) and Mousumi Murmu (87’) scored all three goals in the second half.

The Moshal Girls will take on Sribhumi FC in the summit clash at the same venue on June 2, Friday. 

The two sides have already crossed swords in two finals this season (the Kanyashree Cup and the Baranagar MLA Cup), with the Red & Golds emerging victorious on both occasions.
