EMAMI EAST BENGAL FC SIGN GURSIMRAT SINGH GILL ON A 3-YEAR CONTRACT

Emami East Bengal FC is happy to announce that 25-year-old defender Gursimrat Singh Gill has joined Emami East Bengal FC on a 3-year-contract after the expiration of his previous contract with Mumbai City FC.

The 25-year-old centre-back has represented several Hero ISL teams in the past such as Bengaluru FC, NorthEast United FC, ATK Mohun Bagan FC and Mumbai City FC.

Gursimrat joins his younger brother Prabhsukhan in the Emami East Bengal squad. The inclusion of the Gill brothers is expected to add a lot of solidity to Emami East Bengal FC’s defence. The club is confident that both the players will benefit immensely under the watchful guidance of Coach Carles and his support staff.

Emami East Bengal Head Coach Carles Cuadrat said, “I am glad to welcome the Gill brothers to the Emami East Bengal squad. Both of them made their Hero ISL debuts under me. Even while they were at Bengaluru FC, they never seemed overwhelmed by the presence of the senior players and gave their best in each training session. Hence, I also used them in the AFC Cup at times.”

A product of the Chandigarh Football Academy & the AIFF Elite Academy like his brother Prabhsukhan, Gursimrat is excited to join the Red & Gold brigade and is looking forward to start training in Kolkata.

The player registration is subject to completion of regulatory processes.
